Schedules Explained

To manage schedules, navigate to the Schedules section in the main lower menu. There are 3 types of schedules that can be created and managed here:

  1. Access Schedules – Weekly schedules that limit access to certain days and times of the week.

  1. Lock Schedules – Lock Action Schedules to lock or unlock the door at certain times of the day. AlsoAuto-Lock Schedules to change the Auto-Lock modes at certain times of the day.

  1. Holiday Schedules – Days that can be blocked for access, like Christmas and other Holidays.

Weekly Access Schedules

Access Schedules are used to limit access to the locks a user or guest is given access to. These schedules are then applied via User Grants.

Example: An employer may create a schedule for Monday - Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM each day. Selecting this schedule for the Access User would send this schedule to the lock as part of their credential. When this user's PIN number is entered on the lock, the door will only unlock if within the parameters of the schedule.

Create Access Schedule

Create an Access Schedule by clicking on the + button in the lower right corner.

Select the days of the week you want to provide access for. Then enter the start and end time to limit access to.

If the desired start and end time differs from day to day, click on the “Variable” slider. This will expand the schedule entry to enable different start and end times to be entered for each day.

Use/Apply Access Schedules

After creating an Access Schedule, it can then be applied to an Access User. When creating an Access User, click on the Access Schedule Slider to apply a Weekly Access Schedule to the user. For more information regarding User Grants, check out this article.

Lock Schedules

Lock Schedules affect the locking and unlocking behavior at specified times of the day/week. There are two kinds of Lock Schedules; Auto-Lock (also known as Passage Mode) and Lock Action Schedules. These two types of schedules are set independent of each other, but both can be working on the lock at the same time.

Auto-Lock Schedule

This mode determines how the lock behaves after it is successfully unlocked by a code. The door can either remain unlocked (Passage Mode), or much like a hotel, it can be set to re-lock a short time after unlocked. If you want to ensure that a door remains locked, enabling Auto-lock mode is helpful. Disabling Auto-Lock mode is more often done in residential uses where you often want to leave your door unlocked when home.

You can also adjust this mode according to an Auto-Lock Schedule.

Example: During business hours you may want the lock to be in passage mode. In this case, a schedule could be created to disable auto-lock Monday - Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Lock Action Schedule

A Lock Action Schedule can be created to Lock and Unlock the door at specific times of the day. This will happen automatically on its own according to the schedule.

Example: A business may want the door to unlock on its own at 9 AM and lock on its own at 6 PM. Or, perhaps a homeowner wants a schedule to just lock the door every night to ensure the door is locked at 10 PM.

Create Lock Schedules

To create a Lock Schedule, click on the Lock Schedules tab at the top of the Schedules section.

  1. Select either the Auto-Lock or Lock Action Schedule tab

  1. Name your schedule

  1. Select Auto-Lock or Lock Action schedule type

  1. Select the days of the week you want the schedule to apply to.

  1. Then set the action to be performed, like Auto-Lock On, and set the time the mode should be triggered.

  1. Add additional schedule actions as needed.

  1. If different schedules are required for each day, click on the “Variable” slider.

Apply Lock Schedules

In order to apply Lock Schedules, navigate to the lock you want to apply them to. Then click on Settings. Look for the Auto-Lock and Lock-Action Schedule settings to apply schedules.

Holiday Schedules

Holiday schedules can be applied to an Access Credential in order to restrict access during certain days. With these blocked dates, the Access User will not be able to gain access on these days.

Example: A business may be closed on major US Holidays. So, a Holiday Schedule can be created to include all of these dates. These can then be applied to a User Credential in order to deny access on these dates.

Creating Holiday Schedules

To create a Holiday Schedule navigate to the Holiday tab at the top of the Schedules section.

To add days to block access, click on the calendar with plus sign button on the lower right of the screen. Select the days to block. Repeat as needed to add additional blocked days.

These Holiday Schedules can then be applied when creating a User Credential.
