User Grants

Modified on Mon, 29 Jul at 8:01 PM

You can personalize a user to have different schedules and apply guest access times on different locks by selecting the lock when you are on the Users Profile; this is called the User Grant. You can also limit the times users are granted access to the device by selecting a lock from the list when viewing the Users Profile.

When applying a time restriction during the creation of a user, that will set a precedence that all locks added to this user in the future will follow the same restrictions. In this example, we’re adding a new User with access to the Front Door. We’ve added an Access Schedule that is applied to the User at the User level:

After a User is created and you want to edit the User’s Grant Access, click on the pencil icon on the Locks Access line. From there you will be able to add/edit/delete the User’s Access Settings such as removing the users access to the lock, manage their Guest Access times and Access Schedules:

Referring to the screenshots above, we see at the User Level, the User Grant has the Week Schedule set to Weekdays: Working HoursCurrently in the screenshot, there was only the Front Door on file, so the user can access the device within the scheduled time automatically.

In the next screenshots, we will see this User has been granted access to an additional door, KCM. As we are viewing the Users Profile, shown in the first screenshot below; you will be able to select a specific lock to manage the Users individual Grant Access so not all the locks follow the same schedule (if preferred).
