Once the account is created, and the lock is installed, the device should be ready to be added in the app!
When you launch the app, the landing page will guide you to add your first Lock by clicking the 'Add Lock' button.
Next, the app utilizes your phone's Bluetooth to scan the vicinity for locks that are broadcasting their signals, thereby making them available for registration.
NOTE: While adding more than one lock, the locks that have already been registered will no longer show up when scanning to Add Lock. Instead, all locks that have been registered by the individual will be visible on the Home tab.
For the KIC 3500’s - during the registration process you may be redirected to select the specific lock. Please note, if the incorrect type is selected, the setting will be updated once the lock is connected to Wi-Fi and will automatically update itself if needed.
Next, you’ll need to name the lock and set the location up.
If there is no location on file yet, select Add New Location and enter in a nickname for the location, the physical address where the lock is installed, and select the time zone! This will be useful for reporting and adding locks in the future. Once the lock is named and location is added – select Save Lock to proceed.
If the lock has a firmware update available, the app will redirect you to continue to ensure the lock is updated to have the most recent features and settings. This process will take up to 30 seconds and will include a loading screen to show – in percentages – how much is left to download.
Now the lock is ready to be connected to Wi-Fi!
